Flowers shatter, would be better as garden plant

Comments

Year 1

‘Tutti Frutti’ must be staked or the plants will fall over in the latter part of the season; Smelled a bit funny. Hope it overwinters. People liked it, especially the name and remembered it; Started picking 7/10/98 and was still picking at end of September. Lots of stems left to pick; Would be nice if it didn’t shatter; Spindly stems. Not a good seller; this could go from a 1 to a 5 if there were a secret way of keeping it from shedding. Showed it to florists who loved it but won’t buy it because of shedding; Florist liked the flower but would not use in vase arrangements.

Year 2

I knew this one wouldn’t make it but I was hoping. I really liked it last year!; Great garden plant. Not good as cut.
