Good Qualities

Harvest whole plant, long-lived but 'Serenade's' were better last year; Good germination; Good color blooms and form.

Problems

Too short, melted in heat; Most died, very unthrifty in heat of summer; Short stems, burned foliage and petal tips; Aster yellows, disease distorted buds; Despite deer fencing, these plants were destroyed by deer in field - Deer supper!; None.

Comments

It is tough to beat Aster 'Serenade!'; This series didn't really distinguish itself from others, to my eye.
