Trial: Annual
Years Trialed: 2000Good Qualities
Color (2); Large flower size (2); Uniform; Perfect form; Groups preferred smaller blooms which are easier to work with; Full flower, very tall plant, later to bloom than others by 3 weeks; Mixed beautifully with other later annuals, (some baby’s breath), tiny, sweet flowers at the end - very nice colors (all three).Problems
Disease took its toll and there was no harvest, we had lots of cool rainy days; More prone to aster yellow (caused by leafhopper) than all other varieties trialed (8 total), some blooms partly white; Probably better as a greenhouse cut rather than a field cut; lodged (fell over) too easily and required two layers of support to keep it upright; Later to bloom than others by 3 weeks.Trial Data
