Trial: Annual
Years Trialed: 1999Good Qualities
Nice pastel color (3); The drought closed us down in July but I can say these aster plants were the strongest and out lasted 8 other varieties we planted. Not one of our total of 1400 asters lived to produce flowers. What a year!; Consistent yield. Hardly any aster yellows disease; Good size flowers. Neat, tall, did not fall over. Easy to harvest whole plant.Problems
Our very dry summer may have caused the plants to grow abnormally. Many stems, but very “clumpy”; Didn't do well in cold wet conditions; Same rust problem as mix variety; No problems.Trial Data

Comments
I'm more inclined to suggest that this makes a better garden plant than cut flower. The ultra thick stems are hard to cut; I like 'Serenade' series much better, more useable stems; We will grow again next year; Again another nice aster cut; Loved it; Nice flowers.
