Good Qualities
Color (4); Long breaks; Uniform, stiff stems, nice as filler, lots of branching, clean foliage, color variations on same stem, dainty flowers, color mixes well with other types of flowers, very bushy plant, full of flowers at the same time; Dependable, reliable and attractive series, the easiest asters to grower with less Aster Yellows and lodging; No rust, color good, nice full stems, great filler for bouquets; Many good flower dusters, mini vase flowers.
Problems
Bad Aster Yellows; Short in field; None; Cut all at once, leaving rows to be replanted or weedy; Would like more continuous blooming time, flowers small, Leaf miners.
Comments
Fastest and shortest of the three Serenade varieties; Third best of Serenades trialed, two plants in same planting hole resulted in up to 14 stem total; Use one layer of support in the field to keep upright in open areas; Fast to bloom, 5 weeks; did not rebloom, 6 weeks plant life, vase life - 7 days.
