Good Qualities
Beautiful color and foliage (3); Long lasting cut-good stem length; Produced earlier than Purple Flamingo. It had a great vase life fresh. The color variation throughout the season was great. It dried so vibrant and shattered less than the other varieties. Produced over a longer period of time; Once it starts blooming, it does not quit. Millions of blooms. Good stems; The bicolor foliage was desirable in fresh arrangements. Foliage dried nicely.
Problems
Flowers late (3); Too tall..flowers not particularly striking; Small flower spikes with extremely thick and tall stems; Wheat celosias such as 'Flamingo Feather' were more reliable than 'Amazon'.
Comments
This plant was the standout of this year's trial; Similar to Pink Candle or Flamingo Feather, but much better.
