Delphinium 'Clear Springs Rose Pink'

Trial: Annual

Years Trialed: 1997

Good Qualities

Great color (2); Shape; Fun in garden bouquets; Very good germination, transplanted well.

Problems

Faded color (2); Hot dry spring caused them to stunt..no usable stems; Paler than 'Astolat,' not as appealing; Short season here-must be started inside; Leaves turned yellow, then in approximately 2 week plants died, Pacific Giants & Belladonna planted next to them didn't do this; Crop failure- Spring too wet; Blossomed late.

Comments

Could be a winner here. I would start it indoors much sooner in the future; Germination good; We'll have to wait for another year or two to comment on this perennial but it shows a lot of potential; Good germination. Is this truly an annual? We are seeing if it will winter over here.
