Digitalis Ferruginea

Trial: Perennial

Years Trialed: 1998, 1999

Good Qualities

Year 2

Pretty flower; Very nice straight, thick, long stems; Unusual fox glove, big spikes.

Problems

Year 2

This one was so tall that it was hard to use; Poor yield; Poor; No flower.

Comments

Year 1

Did not flower in the first year. 3 out of 4 died; 3 out of 4 plants grew very well; Plants look great.

Year 2

I hoped that I would get some side shoots from this one when I cut the main stem, but I didn’t seem to. Maybe I should have done something different with it. It is pretty in the garden, though!; Won’t grow again.
