Trial: Annual
Years Trialed: 2001Good Qualities
Great color (4); All varieties performed about the same - 'Balboa Purple' was accepted the best; and also the 'Purple' bloomed the longest in the field; Size of flowers was most impressive with good bud count per stem; Looks like rose with no thorns, last 10 day + in vase, customers love purple first, 'Blue Rim' next, and 'Blue Bush 'last; Bicolor flowers great; Great germination, great field performance; Seed was just a little late for us to get great results. The first bloom on these were short (10;) but the next bloom was better. I know these do much better started earlier; Good vase life.Problems
'Balboa Purple' performed best of all; Slow, slow; How do you know or How can you tell when plant needs water; Flower color not uniform among plants, too short; Shortest of all in trials, small flowers.Trial Data

Similar to 'Echo' and to 'Flamenco Blue Rim'; Balboa series is my favorite lisianthus.
