Good Qualities
Nice blue color (5); Sturdy stems (2); Good sized blossoms; Vigorous plants; Dries well; Transplants well; 72% germination; Excellent yield; Holds color well when dried.
Problems
Leaf disease susceptibility; Poor germination; Do not like Statice dried - too brittle, breaks easily; Dried color washed out; Not as much height as the dark blue and purple 'Fortress' varieties; Some bloom drop after harvest; Very late blooming (common with blue Statice though)
Comments
Nice intermediate blue for floral work - as this shade is difficult to come by in a filler flower; Glycerin preserved - stems dyed; All Statice in trial took glycerin/dye treatment well - which enhanced value.
