Good Qualities
Year 1
Great color and fragrance, mildew resistant.
Year 2
No phlox mildew, smaller flower head than hybrids on the market but still very useable in bouquets, simple and pretty; Great late summer color (Zone 5), interesting flower size, smaller than normal phlox.
Problems
Year 1
Plants shipped in August; Deer love it.
Year 2
Some shattering; Shipped late Aug. 2003, it had a poor start.

Year 1
Plants were in pots in greenhouse, did not plant to field until 10/13/03; Plants received during hot summer, growing in pots, received very small fragile plants; I have 2 1 gallon pots growing well, not yet planted.
Year 2
Plants received last summer grow in pots and wintered over in cold frame, planted this spring outside; Deer love it; Planted 10/13/03 to field; One trialer noted a vase life of 8 days.
